Radioman, directed by Mary Kerr and produced by Ten Cent Adventures, will hold its World Premiere at the Hot Docs Int’l Documentary Festival in Toronto, Canada on April 30th.
The film will then have its European Premiere at the world famous Krakow Int’l Film Festival, May 28-June 3.
Hot Docs is North America’s largest documentary festival and market, and we are delighted that Radioman will be premiering as part of the festival’s new Nightvision section. Directed by Mary Kerr, the film features interviews with George Clooney, Helen Mirren, Meryl Streep, Robin Williams and more; and tells the story of Radioman, the famous New York street icon of the same (nick)name who has become a film industry fixture with over 100 small parts to his name.

WE ROB BANKS, a short documentary directed and produced by Nicola Harman, had its world premiere at the 2011 Brighton Film Festival. The film follows participants in the annual Bonnie & Clyde festival in Louisiana in the town where the two famous criminals were shot and killed in 1934 and was part-funded by a FourDocs completion grant from Channel 4.
Ten Cent Adventures has optioned film and television rights to Stuart Odeman's biography of Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle, Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle: A Biography of the Silent Film Comedian. "Arbuckle's story is one of the most tragic and revealing in film history," says producer and Ten Cent Adventures founder Paul Fischer, "Stuart's biography is one of the best-researched you can find, and it captures Arbuckle's life in a dramatic and very cinematic way, and the cast of characters includes not only Arbuckle but people like Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin, and the book explored the relationships they all had as they became, literally, the first movie stars. It also deals with a lot of themes that are relevant today about divisions in the United States and the country's struggle with the way it sees itself."
Oderman's book will be adapted into a standalone movie for cinemas or television, and talent will be attached in the coming weeks. Studart Odeman has also written books about Lillian Gish and Keystone Comedy. His biography of Arbuckle was called on publication "fascinating... invaluable" and "vivid".
Ten Cent Adventures was founded in London in March 2008 and had produced several short films. The company is currently in post-production on the feature documentary Radioman.
The website for our new feature documentary, RADIOMAN, is now live at www.radiomanmovie.com. It's just a holding page for now, but watch this space for more.
